Rule #4: All Bad Persuasion Is Sincere?

A blog caught my eye today. It's called Healthy Influence (love the title) and it's a serious-minded look at the world of influence from an academic's point-of-view.

I'm still trying to understand rule#4 above, so if you have any thoughts, please leave a comment.

Hello, Heath Slawner:

Sincere communicators tell you everything about how they think, feel, and behave and express it with great feeling and authenticity. Which is nice if the point of the communication is self disclosure but if you're trying to persuade, it is usually not effective.

I adapted this Rule from Oscar Wilde's observation: All bad poetry is sincere.
